OSP Planning Engineer

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct OSP Network surveys for brownfield and greenfield sites.
• Plan and design OSP civil and cable layouts using the Design Tool ESRI ArcGIS.
• Generate schematics and related documents, such as power budgets, key maps, and drum plans.
• Export design drawings using specific templates.
• Review as-built plans, test results and provide post construction inspections.
• Create BoQs for fiber/civil designs.
• Assist the permits team with design drawings.
• Support project teams in understanding designs and support in implementation.
• Update the As-built package in the Design Tool.
• Optimize OSP designs for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Generate and update reports, presenting them to management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Provide technical support during project implementation and troubleshoot Physical network related issues

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer, Electrical, Civil, Telecom engineering, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of outside plant engineering, construction and mapping software, especially ArcGIS.
• 2.5+ years of experience in the design of telecom networks using design/planning tools.
• Certificates in Fiber Optic Cable and Systems
• Should have any Certificates in GIS, CAD, MicroStation
• Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Proficiency in design tools like ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and MicroStation
